Weston M. “Sandy” Jenks Jr. (1924-1988) served as Boston College’s first director of Counseling Services and associate professor of English. He founded the Student Paraprofessional Leadership Program in 1967, later renamed the Jenks Leadership Program in his honor. The Honors Library in Gasson Hall was also dedicated to him in recognition of his four decades of service.
