Scope and Contents
This series documents McEwen's teaching career with the Boston College Department of Economics and his wider involvement on the university campus. Course syllabi, notes, and exams relate to courses McEwen taught at Boston College from 1948-1996 and while a visiting professor at Loyola University in 1962. Additional material highlighting McEwen's work with Boston College students includes bulletins created by Students Organized for Consumer Action on topics like child car seats, taxi fares, small claims courts, and ski areas. Other materials, including correspondence, memos, proposals, and remarks, document McEwen's involvement with the Faculty Panel on Business Ethics, the Public Affairs Forum, and the National Consumer Law Center.
