The albums, created by McEwen, contain photographs documenting his teaching and his career as a consumer advocate. Many of the albums include photographs from conferences and consumer advisory councils for the American Council on Consumers Interests, AT&T, the Federal Reserve Board, and Consumer Federation of America. Other albums contain photographs of McEwen's students at Boston College. There are also unlabeled and undated photograph albums.
