Scope and Contents
Metal box uncovered during the demolition of Cushing Hall in 2019. Most materials are from 1960, the year Cushing Hall was built and the time capsule assembled, but some earlier materials were also included. Contains news clippings, typescripts of speeches given, photographs of Cardinal Cushing, bulletins and handbooks from Academic Year 1959/1960, as well as stone chips from the original Boston College buildings in the South End, a medallion depicting Cardinal Cushing, and "lucky" money buried with the time capsule to provide good fortune.
