Scope and Contents
Primarily documents Jacobs's work for movements to prevent the construction of large highways through city neighborhoods, including the proposed Lower Manhattan Expressway in New York City and the Spadina Expressway in Toronto. Includes clippings, correspondence, print propaganda from activist groups, government briefs and agendas, and one set of court transcripts. Jacobs's involvement with Toronto-area activism and politics is also documented in her correspondence by subject.

Restrictions on Access
Collection is open for research. Letters of recommendation are closed due to privacy restrictions. Most audiovisual recordings have been digitally copied; all original media were retained, but may not be played due to format. Digital use copies can only be accessed in the Burns Library Reading Room. Recordings on Umatic videocassette are not available for playback due to format impermanence and cannot be reformatted by Burns Library at this time.
