Scope and Contents

Administrative materials include correspondence and enclosures, agendas, minutes, and membership lists. The content of the correspondence ranges from logistical notifications to in-depth discussions of current events and other relevant topics. Records from 1979 include discussion of "Christian Seders" and "Agape meals" on Maundy Thursday. Records from 1984 include documentation of the decision to change name from Israel Study Group to Christian Study Group on Judaism and the Jewish People. Records from 1999 and 2001 include discussion about the long-term goals of the Christian Scholars Group (CSG), and correspondence regarding long-range planning for relations between the CSG and the Institute for Christian and Jewish Studies (ICJS), a relationship that was ultimately terminated in 2001.
