Circular letters, 1967-1968
File — Box: 1, Folder: 11
Scope and Contents
Multiple copies of each letter were printed and mailed to Merton's large circle of friends and associates as a way for him to keep up on correspondence without having to respond individually to every letter. In the circulars, he summed up key events in his life and recorded personal observations concerning religious and societal matters. Two of these copies have personalized handwritten notes from Merton.
