Scope and Contents

Derrane spoke about his life as a child of Irish immigrant parents and the course of his musical career. He also described the rise and decline of live Irish traditional music in Boston, including the development of Irish ballrooms in on Dudley Street in Roxbury following World War II. His live accordion performance at the end of the lecture includes:
