Scope and Contents
Series primarily consists of records from St. Malachy's College, Belfast, where Rogers both attended as a student and worked as a professor, as well as educational records of the Northern Ireland Public Record Office. The Northern Ireland Public Record Office Education Facsimiles each contain a packet of documents collated to support a specific historical topic, such as the Act of the Union. Included are copies of documents such as business records, family correspondence, estate records, and personal accounts. The Facsimiles were created for students to analyze a historical issue or trend with the aid of the provided sources and develop critical thinking skills. Materials related to two of Rogers's published works, Father Theobald Mathew: An Apostle of Temperance (1945) and The Irish Volunteers and Catholic Emancipation 1778 - 1793 (1934) are also included.
