Definition and use
Liturgical gloves are worn by bishops and other prelates during the celebration of a Pontifical Mass, though their use is now limited to the celebration of pre-1970 forms of the Mass. Liturgical gloves are made from silk and are adorned with a cross on the back. The color corresponds to the liturgical color of the day.
