Custodial History

In 2024, the edges of this altar frontal were discovered to have grown considerable mold. In order to preserve as much of the piece as possible while preventing further spread of mold, archivists trimmed the affected fabric off, leaving the central embroidery intact. The trimmed fabric was disposed of safely and respectfully.
