Scope and Contents
One western-style hat signed by players of the 1940 Cotton Bowl team for Boston College. Lou Montgomery, Boston College's star halfback and first Black player, did not sign, as he was benched due to segregation policies. The game was played in Dallas, Texas, against Clemson University. Clemson won, 6-3.
