Historical Note: Black Alumni Network
The Black Alumni Network, co-founded in 1985 by Howe, was created to improve the graduation and bar success rate of Black law students by providing extra educational support (Efficacy Institute workshops and student mentoring by graduates of Boston College Law School), to improve career outlook for graduates via networking opportunities, and encourage greater numbers of minority students to attend Boston College Law School through member representation on the school's Admissions Committee.
