A different interviewee than on the A-side of this cassette talks about the Urban Development Corporation and minority housing, and his having supported a legislative bill related to that (he is a state legislator.) History of his involvement with the New York State Office Building project starting as a cautious proponent in the beginning in 1963. He mentions Livingston Wingate, David Dinkins, and others being involved; and mentions the World Trade Center project which is "now going up." Feels that Harlem has always been overlooked as a place where you might think you can have a better life. This project is the very first time that elected officials from the area being serviced were called upon for support, in July of this year. We were in support of the initial ideas but not the current State Office Building itself. Basil Paterson and I met with (unitenlligble).
