Scope and Contents
This subseries contains records pertaining to school assignments and transfers, transportation and safety, the Boston Public School's Department of Implementation,and general records covering many topics of concern during the three year desegregation process. Some of these topics include the Code of Discipline, kindergarten education and desegregation, school consolidation, and the occupational resource center (also referred to as the career center).
Desegregation issues is arranged in four sub-subseries: 1. Department of Implementation; 2. General records; 3. School assignments and transfers; and 4. Transportation and safety. All sub-subseries are arranged alphabetically.
