Political concerns are represented by material related to Norwegian political activist Nordahl Grieg; imprisoned Czech journalist Karel Kyncl; Nazi Rudolf Hess; and Greene’s former superior in British Intelligence, the Soviet spy Kim Philby. Religious issues are covered by files concerning Padre Pio and correspondence with the Thomas More Society of London on a failed attempt to recruit Greene to speak on morality.
