This collection consists of correspondence between Boston University professor and author Jay Corrin and members of the English Catholic New Left, compiled by Corrin as research for his book Catholic Progressives in England after Vatican II. Correspondence consists primarily of email but also of more traditional mail relating the authors' recollections of their involvement with the Catholic New Left and with the Catholic magazine Slant. Each file... is accompanied by a short biography of the correspondent. Files also include Corrin's research materials and notes. Some correspondents sent Corrin copies of writings and copies of archival material in their possession, and these enclosures are maintained with the accompanying letters. Notable correspondents include Christopher Calnan, Terry Eagleton, Adrian Cunningham, Neil Middleton, Bernard Sharratt, and Martin Shaw.
