From the original recordings (primarily on sound tape reels), Séamus Connolly made compilations (also on sound tape reels) arranged by artist or instrument. He later transferred the compilations to DATs in 1995. The compilations are made available for research on CD-R. Content descriptions have been supplied by Connolly and were transcribed to form the inventory; thematic groupings and minor edits were supplied by the Irish Music Center.
