Scope and Contents
Letters and postcards exchanged by Alfred Noyes and professional and business correspondents -- specifically agents, editors, and publishers -- including A.P. Watt and Sons; Blackwood and Sons; J.P. Lippincott Company; John Murray Publishers; Sheed and Ward; and Frederick A. Stokes Company. The Feakins correspondence spans a period of thirty-three years and includes letters, schedules, and memoranda regarding lectures and tours Noyes made in North America (1913-1946). Among the other professional correspondents are editors of magazines, monthlies, and newspapers, as well as representatives of colleges, universities, and alumni clubs. This subseries also contains correspondence from societies and representatives of government organizations and correspondence regarding the nomination of Alfred Noyes for the Nobel Prize in Literature.
