Scope and Contents
Notebooks and diaries, starting with Noyes's tenure as a student at Exeter College, Oxford and spanning his career. They include drafts of fiction and nonfiction, essays, reviews, poetry, and plays. Several notebooks include poetry from The Torchbearers (1926-1930). Also includes notebooks written by Noyes's first and second wives, Garnett Daniels and Mary Angela Weld-Blundell, and several notebooks that Noyes used for his own writing after they had been discarded by a previous owner. These latter notebooks have been designated "shared notebooks." Most of the notebooks are undated; however, an estimate has been given.

Audio recordings have been digitally copied; all original media were retained, but may not be played due to format. Digital use copies can only be accessed in the Burns Library Reading Room. The reel-to-reel tapes are not available for playback due to format impermanence and can not be reformatted by Burns Library at this time.
