Scope and Contents
Notes and documents related to the Catholic Church's response to Noyes's Voltaire. Includes Noyes's statement to the Church in reaction to its censure of Voltaire, as well as a chronology of the controversy surrounding Voltaire prepared by Noyes. Also contains Noyes's notes on the work's controversy, as well as two scrapbooks of newspaper clippings regarding the publication and reception of Voltaire.
