Materials related to the publication of and subsequent controversy surrounding Noyes's Voltaire. It features Noyes's personal and public correspondence on Voltaire; his response to the Catholic church in defense of the work, along with other notes and documents related to its controversial publication. Also includes chapter drafts from Voltaire, a French translation of the work, and a German translation of an article by Noyes on Voltaire.
