Scope and Contents
The Academic departments series concerns the academic administration of Newton College of the Sacred Heart and includes the records of the academic deans, academic departments, the education program, continuing education, the summer program, the study abroad program, the admissions department, and the registrar. Of special interest are student personality questionnaires (entitled "Who Am I?"), extensive records of the art department, and the papers of Margaret Dever, a professor at the college who designed a course called “The Study of Western Culture,” and who later became the Director of Women’s Programs at Boston College. It includes brochures, correspondence, diploma and certificate blanks, memos, and syllabi and course materials.
