Scope and Contents
Eleanor Kelley served as O'Neill's personal Secretary during his tenures as Majority Leader and Speaker (1973-1986). Correspondence, congratulatory, and thank you notes to and from both colleagues and constituents can be found here, in addition to those in the Personal / Office Files (Series I. Subseries E. Sub-Subseries 4.). Files of special interest include material on St. Patrick's Day celebrations (1954-1983) and notes from White house Leadership Meetings held during Carter's presidency (1977-1980).
