This series consists of typescript and manuscript diaries, journals, ship's logs, and an illness log, the bulk of which are dated between 1889 and 1933. Many of the bound diaries included here are Elodie and Eleanor Hogan's travel journals, written while on tour abroad from America, dated 1889 and 1890. The Hilaire Belloc diaries date between 1906 and 1917. One of the two ship's logs, both in Belloc's hand, is from the Nona and is undated.
