Manuscripts, correspondence, and photographs compose the Derek Patmore papers. Of particular note is the manuscript for the essay “Coventry Patmore’s Unhappy Love for Alice Meynell” about his great-grandfather’s relationships with Alice Meynell and Francis Thompson. Although the correspondence is primarily single letters received from literary and artistic figures, included are a number of letters from British author Marguerite Steen, as well as a group of letters exchanged between Derek and Brigit Patmore. The photographs are of Brigit Patmore.
