Scope and Contents
This collection contains an unbound typescript that includes both short works published under this title in 1942 by Farrar and Rinehart: Black Orchids and Cordially Invited to Meet Death. The typescript consists of 8 pages of front matter and 206 numbered pages. Also included are associated ephemera: a flier for the Quincy Books and Authors War Bond Rally (1943) where the manuscript was originally purchased; a Books and Authors War Bonds Committee card presenting the book from the anonymous purchaser to Tufts Library; an index card with typed notes on the purchase and transfer of the manuscript; and the presentation red ribbon.
