Scope and Contents
Contains scrapbooks, correspondence, reports, publications, newspaper clippings, and yearbooks. The scrapbook provides an overview of the school between 1937 and 1961. The collection also contains material on the curriculum including correspodence from Dean Charles M. Crowley, S.J. regarding business courses. It also includes files on programs affliated with the Evening College such as the Mater Christi Institute which taught young women childrearing skills.

Historical note
This Boston College program was established in 1929 as the Extension School. The school offered similar course work as the University but taught at an alternative time. In 1935, the school merged with the Junior College forming the Intown College. In 1948, the name changed to the Evening College of Arts and Sciences and Business Administration. In 1959, it moved to the Chestnut Hill campus. In 1996, the name changed to the College of Advancing Studies.
