Historical note
The Boston College Institute for the Study of Religious Education and Service was established in 1971. Since 1978 it has been called the Institute of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry. The Institute offers a variety of degree and non-degree programs, including an interdisciplinary doctorate in Religion and Education.
