Biographical Note

Irish poet and editor Seumas O'Sullivan was born James Sullivan Starkey. His literary career began around 1902 with the publication of several poems. He edited The Tower Press Booklets, and from 1923 to 1958 he edited The Dublin Magazine.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Because the current accessioning system was not used until January 1986, it is not possible to know exactly the dates of acquisition of materials received before that time. Documentation with the material suggests it was purchased from Charles Seluzicki Fine and Rare Books, January 1982.

Published works associated with this collection have been transferred within the Burns Library and can be found in the Boston College Library catalog.
