Historical note: Stereographs

Published, collectible photographic cards. Produced with two photographs side-by-side for viewing through a stereoscope to create a 3-dimensional image effect. Titles were often assigned to collected images by the publisher–not the photographers–to produce saleable sets along thematic lines.
