Scope and Contents
Unbound manuscript in Spanish, cursive script. 82 pages sewn through center fold comprising a detailed inventory of valuables confiscated from the Jesuits in the Viceroyalty of Peru following the 1767 suppresson of the order. Included are the values and intended destinations of gold, silver, diamonds, pearls, semiprecious stones, and the contents of an apothecary, including medicines and laboratory apparatus. Written in a cursive script in at least two hands. Text is continuous despite internal blank pages. Evidently lacking final leaf.
