Provenance

Because the current accessioning system was not used until January 1986, it is not possible to know exactly the dates of acquisition of materials received before that time. It is likely that the majority of these materials were collected by Thomas F. O'Connell, University Librarian. Materials from Ashendene Press, High House Press, and Nonesuch Press were purchased from Bertram Rota Ltd. before 1986.
