Scope and Contents From the Series:

Drafts of Galvin's novels, short stories, essays, poems, and reviews. Many of the poems include edits by peers. Also research material related to Galvin’s work on Massachusetts Story (a documentary) and other writing projects. Publication material comprising notecards tracking submissions to journals, contracts, copyright agreements, and promotional material. Lastly, Galvin's student works, including his MFA thesis and PhD dissertation.

Scope and Content Note From the Collection: The collection consists of materials, predominantly correspondence, relating to the life and work of Ethel Mannin.The majority of the letters are written from Mannin to British librarian Gilbert Turner, chronicling almost forty years of friendship. Mannin's letters are often requests for information to be used for her research; however, they also reveal Mannin's personal life and her opinions on literary and political subjects, including the Middle East, Zionism, Ireland, England,...
