The collection consists of two journals containing hand-written drafts of Ayscough's short-stories "Gianluca" and "The Empty Shrine." It also contains letters exchanged between Ayscough and his mother and sister regarding his writing.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: This collection documents the work of British Catholic poet Siegfried Sassoon through his letters and poems. His poem, "An Unwritten 'Essay on Satire'," is a three-page manuscript that he sent to Robert Graves. His printed poem "Rogation" was probably an enclosure in his correspondence with poet Katherine Kendall, which is included in this collection. Consists of programs, newspaper clippings, ephemera, and photos relating to the Concord School of Philosophy. Printed materials document lecture topics through programs and circulars announcing the upcoming season's lectures. Also includes ephemera from related schools and movements, as well as notable figures who taught at or supported the school, such as Edward Everett and Ralph Waldo Emerson.
