The M.J. MacManus Papers consists mostly of letters from various correspondents written to M.J. MacManus. Many concern MacManus's duties as editor of the Irish Press. The dates range from 1849 to 1951, with the bulk of the letters between 1934 and 1942. There is also a draft of a poem by Francis Ledwidge.

Nine letters written to or by Charles Morris. Six were sent from five publishing companies answering his request to use passages from a variety of books. There is no mention of the books in which the passages will be used. One letter is a request from Morris. These six were written in 1886. Two letters are to William Griswold and address publications where Morris will be mentioned.
