Biographical Note

Anglo-English novelist and playwright. Frederick Lawrence Green was an Anglo-Irish novelist of Irish descent who lived in Belfast for the majority of his writing career. Born in Portsmouth, England on April 6, 1902, Green continued to live in England until 1933 when he and his wife, Margaret, moved to Belfast. Green was the author of fourteen published novels. Green moved to Bristol, England in 1951. He died there two years later on April 14, 1953 at age 51.
