Biographical Note

Roibeárd Ó Faracháin (Robert Farren) was born in Dublin, Ireland. In early life Ó Faracháin worked as a teacher. He then became involved in Radio Eireann and the Abbey Theatre. With Austin Clarke he helped found in 1940 what became the Lyric Theatre.

Scope and Contents

Made up of signed typescripts of two poems by Ó Faracháin. The titles of the poems are "Folk-songs in dining room" and "Defeat of God." The manuscripts contain some corrections by the poet.
