Authors collection
The Authors collection comprises various manuscripts created by notable historical figures between 1665 and 2005. The bulk of this collection dates from 1790 to 1900, and consists primarily of letters and lithographs. Notable correspondents represented in this collection include Charles Darwin, Isabella Stewart Gardner, Edward Everett Hale, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Florence Nightingale, Walker Percy, Wendell Phillips, John Ruskin, Alec Waugh, and William Wordsworth.

Boston College alumni papers
This collection documents the student experience at Boston College through materials collected and created by its alumni. These papers document the legislative career of Robert F. Drinan, SJ, Democratic Representative in the U.S. House from the Massachusetts 3rd District (later the 4th) from 1971-1981. The collection includes correspondence, committee files, legislative files, campaign materials, district files, speeches, photographs, and audio and video recordings.
Collection is open for research, with the exception of the case files in Series V. The audio and video recordings are not available for playback due to format impermanence and can not be reformatted by Burns Library at this time. Papers document Robert F. Drinan's career as an academic, lawyer, Jesuit, and social justice advocate. Materials cover his years before Congress as a faculty member and Dean of Boston College Law School, and his post-congressional years as a faculty member at Georgetown University Law Center.

Seán O'Faoláin collection
The collection contains correspondence to and from Seán O'Faoláin, manuscripts of stories which appeared in published form as Tales and Stories (1966) and clippings about O'Faoláin's autobiography Vive Moi!. The collection also includes a typed and annotated essay by Julia O'Faoláin.
