This series consists mainly of typescripts and proofs from John Paul XXIII and Pope Paul VI. Variously included in this series are proposals, introductions, chapters, notes, background materials, and notices for a number of other books including The Runaway Church, In the Vatican, Pope John Paul II, The New Inquisition, and God’s Candidate. This series also includes correspondence, mostly from Hebblethwaite’s agent, Sheila Watson, referring to one or more of the books as well as a number of book contracts and royalty statements. Lastly, the series contains typescript and background materials for two unpublished books: one, a biography on Cardinal Basil Hume and the other on the subject of the Church as Laity.
