These papers document van Beeck's writing and lecturing on theological topics including Christology, systematic theology, the ordination of women, pastoral care of homosexuals, and Catholic education. Materials include manuscripts of his lecture notes, speeches, papers, articles, book drafts, and correspondence. There are also research materials, including published articles by other theologians, some of which are signed by the author, and materials from conferences which van Beeck attended.

The largest portion of the papers is made up of van Beeck's article and book drafts. Books include Admirable Exchange: A Systemic Theology, Catholic Identity After Vatican II, Christ Proclaimed: Christology as Rhetoric, God Encountered: A Contemporary Catholic Systemic Theology, Grounded In Love: Sacramental Theology in an Ecumenical Perspective, and his translation of Pieter Frans Smulders's Interpreting the Lord's Mystery: The Development of Christology in the Teachings of the Church Fathers and the Great Councils.
