The Board books are a collection of resources and background information relevant to the ALC and its leadership. Often copies of these books are distributed in advance of a meeting, and include all relevant information about the forthcoming agenda in one place. The ALC Board books include materials such as agendas, finances, amendments, instances of being in the news, and pertinent supporting records such as correspondence, event flyers, and student surveys and questionnaires.

Also included are photographs, scrapbooks, and video recordings of ALC sponsored events.

Historical note: AHANA Leadership Council

AHANA is an acronym used to describe individuals of African, Hispanic, Asian and Native American descent. Founded in 1995, AHANA Leadership Council (ALC) formed due to discontent among the AHANA community with Boston College's race relations and other issues concerning ethnicity, representation, and diversity. Consisting of students of all backgrounds, ALC is dedicated to strengthening the Boston College community by addressing issues of the AHANA community, and aspires to voice the concerns of all.

ALC is separate in its organization but united in its function with the Undergraduate Government of Boston College. While ALC has its own departments and executive positions, the Council and UGBC work together toward common goals.
