Both ECOSOC and the IPO had programs for Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) representatives. The U.S. Mission to the UN also gave briefings to NGOs, and the Conference of Non-Gonvernmental Organizations in Consultative Status with the United National Economic and Social Council (ONGO), a non-UN body, coordinated information sharing for the NGOs as well.
