Bapst Library exterior: architectural rendering, watercolor and ink over a graphite sketch, approximately 1925
Scope and Contents
Shows the proposed Bapst building from the perspective of what is now Linden Lane, with trees in front of the building and grassy lawn in the foreground. It is labeled "Library for Boston College, Newton, Mass." It seems to be a rendering for fundraising rather than after the completion of the building, because there are details that were never built into the building. The artist is Hubert G.Ripley (1869-1942), who worked for the firm of Maginnis and Walsh.
