Scope and Contents
Edited interview was published in the November 23, 1969 issue of the New York Times. In the recording, Ali discusses his one year expulsion from the Nation of Islam, a Broadway play production that he is currently taking part in, his anti-war stance and resulting current ban from boxing, and whether he thinks of his boxing career as in the past. The second tape side principally covers his following Elijah Muhammad, leader of the Nation of Islam.
