Scope and Contents

The edited interview was published in the January 12, 1969 issue of the New York Times. The interview begins with John V. Lindsay (Mayor of New York City) talking about his interest in theater and his mother's theater background; mentions of the couple of theater gigs he had during his time in the U.S. House of Representatives. Then talking about a Sunday TV show that he has, as well as public hearings, and his appeareances on other shows such as The Tonight Show. The second side concludes the interview with some final comments about Lindsay's television show, an episode about alcoholism/Rikers Island.
