Research materials and writings relating to Catholic higher education in the United States created in preparation for Gallin's books Independence and a new partnership in Catholic higher education (1996), Negotiating identity : Catholic higher education since 1960 (2000), American Catholic higher education: essential documents, 1967-1990 (1992), and Ex Corde Ecclesiae: Documents Concerning Reception and Implementation (2006). Many materials were reused across multiple projects. Gallin had special access to some of these materials due to her direct involvement with the Ex Corde Ecclesiae Implementation Committee.
