Scope and Contents

Interview begins with Scottish director/producer Boyd saying he's just made a film in America with director John Schlessinger, Honky Tonk Freeway (1981). He also discusses the television film he produced, Look Back in Anger with Macolm McDowell (1980) and its relevance in America. He considers the promise of cable television/pay TV in America. He mentions the film Scum that he produced (1979), and more about his background -- school, directing commercials, his past entrepreneurship in Britain, etc.
