Scope and Contents

Manuscript account ledger of the congregation of the laity of the chapel of Nuestra Señor de la O, in the Colegio de San Pablo, Lima. Begun in 1680, the ledger records retrospective donations from the first half of the seventeenth century through 1767, when the college was closed upon the expulsion of the Jesuits from Peru. The ledger continues with notes from the Junta de Temporalidades concerning former Jesuit property and income for the period 1775-1835.

Spanish-Peruvian Jesuit college. Established in 1568, the Colegio de San Pablo was closed in 1767 with the expulsion of the Jesuits from Spanish domains.
