Manuscript notebook of 56 leaves written in a single hand, comprising texts critical of the Jesuits, including papal letters, contemporary gazettes, and a Spanish translation of Ivan Dominik Stratiko's Orazione funebre recitata in Breslavia nei funerali di Lorenzo Ricci ultimo generale della Compagnia di Gesu. Bound in contemporary limp vellum.

Biographical Note: Andrés Danús

Spanish Catholic priest. Andrés Danús was a Mallorcan priest who studied theology and canon law at the University of Mallorca. He was rector of the parishes of Alaior, Menorca, and Santanyí, Mallorca.

Custodial History

The identity of the compiler or original owner is not known. However, loosely inserted is a two-page manuscript note addressed to Andrés Danús, including a list of names and sums.
